Three Days
Three days before the release of Broken Veil, and the thoughts, as always, are thoughting.
I can’t wait for you all to read this book.
I know some of you will love it.
Some of you will be disappointed. (It’s inevitable.)
Some of you will want more.
Some will be happy with just Carys’s story.
Some of you are just waiting for more vampires.
Should I try to find a showing of Frankenstein on the big screen or give in and watch it on the entirely-too-big television my husband wanted?
The last thing is a genuine question. Have any of you seen it yet? I love Guillermo Del Toro with a pure and everlasting fangirl love.
I get the vampire thing. (Back to book thoughting.) Personally, there are authors I LOVE, but I never latched on to a particular series, and that’s okay.
You’ll be happy to know that I’m about halfway done with Obsidian Empire, which is the next Tatyana and Oleg book (which you can preorder here) and I’m right on track for the February release.
Why do I write books so fast? Friends, in the immortal words of Taylor Swift, I am not well-rounded. I don’t do sports. I only paint badly. Writing is what pays the bills, and I’m very grateful for that.
So what is there to say three days before a the finale of a trilogy I’ve worked on for over two years? I guess I just really hope you like it. I know there’s a lot of stuff happening in the world right now, so if my books can give you a little comfort or a little bit of joy, I’m glad.
I have roughly a million things to post/do/interviews/etc. this week, so if you want to glom onto any of that, make sure to check out Instagram, FB, and the Tok.
Also, if you’re a non-Zon reader, you only have today and tomorrow to buy Broken Veil from my direct store, so DO NOT DELAY!
Take care of yourself this week, and each other.
